Cetearyl Alcohol

Should I be worried?

The word alcohol, when used in relation to the ingredients in cosmetic chemistry is different to the fermented alcohol you find in beverages and shouldn't be confused. You are correct to avoid fermented alcohol as this can dry and damage your skin but you don't need to worry, there are NO alcohol's in any of our products.

.

What is it?

It's a flaky, waxy, white solid that is a combination of cetyl and stearyl alcohols, which occur naturally in plants and animals. Cetyl and stearyl alcohols are often derived from coconut, corn, or soy vegetable oil, typically from coconut palm trees, corn plants or soy plants.
